Dayspring Genome

“The Dayspring Genome of Christmas”

Ever since The Fall there has been a fracturing of the relationship between God and humanity. This “bone” has been fractured, and the efforts to reunite and secure the splintered pieces has been unsuccessful. The resulting state of affairs is called Non-union. This problem is due to two main factors: vascularity and stability.

The Mosaic Law provided a structure where the fracture could be physically reconnected. Keeping the Commandments was like a metal plate and screws which were attached to each end of the two pieces of bone. The Law served to draw the two segments together but it could not cause them to be fused and new bone to grow in the gap between the two separate fragments.

It turns out that although the problem of stability was minimized, there was diminished vascularity to the fracture site as the synergistic interaction between God and humanity gradually ceased. Without this adequate “blood flow” the factors of oxygenation, nutrition, and delivery of immune system components were severely compromised. In time a condition called avascular necrosis developed. This is the actual death of bone tissue due to the lack of blood supply. This results in chronic and often disabling pain and severe arthritis.

The separation was too great to be mended and the connection to the rest of the body was lost. The bone tissue died and the bone collapsed. Infarction and the subsequent necrosis now resulted in irreversible damage. There was no hope of reuniting and regenerating the affected fracture. With the possibility of gangrene and sepsis developing often the only recourse is amputation; a complete separation from the life of the body.

God’s Solution was a phenomenal resolution to the problem. The DNA makeup of fallen humanity lacked the ability to fuse the broken fracture. Transcending natural laws, the Dayspring genome was introduced into a young virgin named Mary. The celestial was interwoven inside the terrestrial. The inception of this Dayspring genome provided a new matrix whereby the injured, fractured connection could be resurrected. This was not humanly possible, but this otherworldly infusion of Divine progenitor cells, resulted in the offspring of the woman being able to restore the stability and vascularity to the fractured God-man relationship.

This is why Christmas is so spectacular. Jesus does what Santa Claus can never do. The most lavish presents under the tree are dwarfed by the incarnation and the healing process that occurs when we, just like Mary, give our consent to be impregnated with God’s Presence. How can we try to visualize this? The Dayspring Genome welcomed into our hearts starts a transformative process just like the infusion of stem cells into an injury.

Stem cells are special cells. The have two main properties: not only do they replicate themselves, but they also can become, through differentiation, cells that can do other things. They can become brain cells, heart muscle cells, bone cells, and many other types of cells. The Dayspring Genome provided a mechanism where He was born without the inherited sin nature which existed since The Fall.

There were two stages to this Divine Remedy. The first stage began with the introduction of the Dayspring genome. This Divine conception resulted in the birth of Emmanuel. Jesus revealed the heart of God. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. (Luke 4: 18-19)  The factor of stability was being restored as the broken pieces of the fractured relationship were joined together by God’s love expressed through Jesus.

The next step involved reestablishing vascularity to the fracture site. “We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. From beginning to end he’s there, towering far above everything, everyone. So spacious is he, so expansive, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe—people and things, animals and atoms—get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross.” (From Colossians 2 The Message)

The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus provided the permanent solution to the state of the non-union fracturing of our relationship with God. Through the power of The Holy Spirit, we can choose to receive Jesus’ life in our hearts. “God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” 1 Jn 4: 9-10

This Christmas is an opportunity to appreciate, in a deeper way, who Jesus is.    We can choose to focus on this Unbelievable Gift that is available to each of us. OR we can become consumed, preoccupied, or even indifferent to the business and hubbub of Christmas. Happy Holidays, Merry Xmas, Santa Claus, and this year especially, the exaltation and promotion of The Grinch can all serve to draw us away from the true meaning and focus of Christmas.

But perhaps there is an underlying nugget to consider. In the Big Picture there is an otherworldly diabolical Grinch who was involved in the fracturing of our relationship with God. Our presents were stolen. But that’s where the similarity ends. That Grinch never repented and today seeks to keep humanity blinded and anesthetized to the realization of what has been stolen from them. Don’t let The Grinch do that to you! Welcome the True Gift of Christmas!
